Trump demands 'major loser' Jerome Powell cut interest rates
President Donald Trump savaged Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell on Monday.
Writing on Truth Social the president called Powell a 'major loser' and Mr. Too Late.'
He wrote:
"Preemptive Cuts" in Interest Rates are being called for by many. With Energy Costs way down, food prices (including Biden’s egg disaster!) substantially lower, and most other “things” trending down, there is virtually No Inflation.
With these costs trending so nicely downward, just what I predicted they would do, there can almost be no inflation, but there can be a SLOWING of the economy unless Mr. Too Late, a major loser, lowers interest rates, NOW. Europe has already “lowered” seven times. Powell has always been “To Late,” except when it came to the Election period when he lowered in order to help Sleepy Joe Biden, later Kamala, get elected. How did that work out?

Trump defends Hegseth as doing a 'great' job
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent
President Donald Trump defended his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, saying he's doing a 'great job.'
Hegseth came under fire this weekend when a second signal chat was revealed. This one was started by the defense secretary, where he shared detailed information about military strikes in Yemen in a private chat that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer,
‘It’s just the same old stuff,' Trump told reporters at the White House Easter Egg Roll.
‘He's doing a great job. It's just fake news. They just bring up stories. I guess it sounds like disgruntled employees. He was put there to get rid of a lot of bad people and that's what he's doing so you don't always have friends when you do that.'

According to a new report from CNN, the DHS boss had a bag taken from her as she was out dining Sunday evening.
The Secret Service did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Dubbed 'ICE Barbie' for her many law enforcement-related outfits, the secretary's bag, which included her makeup, was stolen, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
After reviewing the restaurant's security footage, the Secret Service determined that Noem's bag was snatched by a white man in a medical mask before he exited the restaurant.

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen ripped apart for admitting his trip to El Salvador was paid for by taxpayers
Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com
A Democrat senator who flew to El Salvador last week to visit a deported Salvadorian migrant elicited fury online after revealing that U.S. taxpayers funded his visit to see the detained non-citizen.
Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., traveled to Central America last week to check on the well-being of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, 29, a migrant who crossed into the U.S. illegally before settling down in Maryland and marrying an American woman.
The Trump administration deported Abrego Garcia in March because of his alleged ties to the violent gang MS-13, though the White House admits his removal came as a result of an 'administrative error,' and courts have ordered he be returned to the U.S.
Amid the controversy over whether Abrego Garcia's deportation was lawful, documents revealing he beat his American wife and was suspected by Maryland authorities to be an active MS-13 member surfaced.
Despite the fresh allegations against Abrego Garcia, Van Hollen pressed on with his trip and has been advocating for the Salvadoran's return to the U.S.
