I have approx half an eyebrow on either side. I've had this since birth, they've always been like that and extremely sparse too. Im getting really jealous of all the people with fab brows at the moment. my most recent purchase was the laura geller triple pen thingy, complete waste of money! every colour it comes in goes on red so my brows just look really badly drawn on. apart from that tried most eyebrow pencils, a few powders etc. just nothing seems to look natural on me.
I think tattoos may be the next step but i really want to try everything before that as im not s keen on tattooed brows. especially from going to hardly anything to bold, full on drawn on lines.
What else should i try?

So you have no hairs there at all? Not even the thin body hair types?
What's your colouring? If you're blonde or fair I think I'd steer clear of heavy brows.
Have you tried the wax/powder approach like benefit brow zing?

A pencil in a blonde or hazel shade as any brown ones have a red undertone... I find a. Cheap rimmel one best and then use the benefit brow kit over the top.

I have black hair on my head. I also have alopecia, so whilst I have hair on my head I have no body hair. I use Christian Dior, diorshow brow styler. There is only one colour and it's supposed to adapt. It seems to work, it goes on with a red tone initially, but changes when I go over it. The other thing I have done is use a good brown eyeshadow and eyebrow stencils which you can get on Amazon/ebay/superdrug.
Good Luck!

I have this because of my thyroid problem. I had my brows dyed and waxed and now have a full brow because I had hair there it was just so pale it didn't show. Might be worth a try?
If you do, do not panic at the scouse brow effect that you initially have. Once the dye is gone from your skin it looks fab.

It's hard to find (Selfridges in London has it) but excellent.

How about Revitalash? They used to do a separate brow one, now its lash and brow combined. It doesn't make them any thinker, but it does make the hairs you have longer, therefore giving a slightly thicker look. Lots of threads on here saying it works, certainly worked well for me. Then tinting a shade darker to emphasise them.

oooh thankyou! Lots to think about.
Ive just checked super close and i can make out a few tiny hairs on either side, Ive never even thought about getting them tinted or dyed though, always thought id get laughed out of the salon with my non existent hairs!!
And what are the stencils like, how do they work exactly? Is the benefit brow zings good, ive been watching that this morning on youtube, but thought youd need hairs first in order to use it, id be mostly putting it onto bare skin!
Ive been using revitabrow since november, twice a day as instructed, think 1 hair has since grown .
Im excited to think though that dying or tinting may work!

At my local village hairdresser and eyebrow shape and tint was £10 and lasts a good 2 months so far
I will def have it done again and I do not bother with pencils or powder any more

I think the brow zings would work - the first product is a coloured wax and I could definitely draw that on my bare skin
Although I don't think mine are as tricky as yours, I do have eyebrows which are sparse and several shades lighter (naturally) than my hair colour. So they look a bit pathetic. Tinting does help considerable - I get them threaded and tinted and although I still use brow zings it makes it much easier as I have a good shape to follow and I don't need to use them as heavily
These days I'm hiding them under a big fringe

Like Dawn I also have alopecia and have very little brows (at one point none) I find where I have hair a pencil the best and most natural, but where I have none (and used to use when I had no brow hair) I used to use an Elizabeth Arden brow powder, which can also be used as an eyeliner. I comes in 3 shades and takes a little practice, but I found it had good staying powder.
Personally, I've yet to see convincing tattooed brows. I think they look great when someone has hair, but where there is none it looks so 2D.
Good luck!

Soap and glory's archery is good for a tenner, there's a fine felt tip end and a crayon end so you sort of draw on the individual hairs with the felt tip and fill in with the crayon. I've got sparse dark brows but the do a blonde version too. I really like it and my brows look better and more natural than they ever have here

I second the cheap rimmel pencil. I use dark brown and it has no red in it at all. They do lighter colours. They must look fairly natural as I get lots of compliments on my defined eyebrows! Use light featheru strokes rather than drawing them on.

HD Brow kit is my absolute favourite. Eyebrows are much easier to draw on with a brush!

I use MAC Browsing eye pencil in Spiced. It is really good, and the best eyebrow pencil I have tried.

Arrggghhhh!! so many new things to look at and everyones saying they are all good.
The thing is though I have no shape at all so i get stuck basiclaly knowing what to do, I may try and put a picture up of them to show you how non existent they really are, maybe I should get them tinted would the tint go onto skin though?
fluffy I totally agree, tattooing them on was a last resort but im so sick of trying to paint on eyebrows and having only 2 cm on either side to actually fill in. I dont know what looks worse when i do them or when i dont.
I think Im past even powders and stuff now i need professional help . maybe ill go to boots tomorrow and try a few different ones at least. then pop into a salon. All this for bloody eyebrows, but I always want what I havent got!

My kind of thread, I have whispy half arsed cobweb eyebrows and I cannot recommend HD brow treatments enough.
Google HD Brows with your town name and see who, in your area does it.
And get their eyebrow powder. Honestly, it's miracle stuff.

I also have alopecia and have zero eyebrows. Not a single hair! They were very pale when I had them, so I use a blonde eyebrow definer by Collection 2000. I have also used Bare Minerals brow powder with a brow brush. Both look quite natural.

atbeckandcall what exactly did they do when you went for hd brows, is it tinting them or the skin or something. Ive seen ads for them but always think you need loads of hair to even consider it.

It's 7 different stages. Tinting, waxing, treading, plucking, trimming, shaping and filling in.
They use some of the tiny downy hairs, it may take a few visits but it is great.
